Gillis Family RV Adventure!

This week we are joined by some great friends for our first ever LIVE interview! All of us in the same room! It was great connecting with the Gillis family as they recently sold all their possessions, and left the comforts of home and into a 37′ RV trailer and an open ended adventure.

We were in Colorado Springs visiting Maggie and Josh, when our friends Jared and Kris happened to be wandering through Colorado just starting out their RV trip. They were kind enough to even help us with some house projects and we had a chance to sit down and record their story.

They had some stories and great advice on how to start the process of moving from Suburban life to the open road!

Show notes:

Follow the Gillis’ on Facebook,  and Instagram. They also have some pretty incredible videos of their journey which you can follow at:  You Tube!.

Also, we discussed: BoonDockers Welcome, and Passport America, which is a great way to travel and save money!

Family Travel Reminder:

If you like the show, or are inspired, there are a couple of ways we’d LOVE to have your help!! It’s virtually painless!

  1. Tell your friends! It will make you seem less crazy since there are TONS of families who are ‘out there’ living and traveling in amazing ways. See? You’re normal!!

They have 5 kids, but often had their kids’ friends along for an adventure, and it all worked into a gypsy vagabond experience. They are now in New Zealand, and making plans for overland travel through Asia. They’re unstoppable!    (more…)
