I’m guessing that a lot of parents, whether they are new parents, or those entrenched deep in the throes of parenting may be lulled into thinking: “I hope someday my family works like a team, we’ll act as a team, and we’ll think like a team!” I know I thought this myself at some point “B-K” (before kids): I didn’t know when or how this magic was going to take place, I just sort of figured since these little people were my own flesh and blood, some genetic power or subterranean mental wiring would kick in and make it all happen……effortlessly, would also be nice. Nothing could be further from the truth! Families don’t automatically work or function as a team, but the good news I’m here to pass along to you is: Your family can function as a team, it is possible, and here’s 3 tips I learned from our family travels, and why I think family travel is a great way to help you make it happen. Father & Daughter Travel!
In this episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Jamie and Rick Goodman, a father and daughter, who have a great story to tell. Through some family hardships, including cancer, Rick and Jamie were reminded how fragile life is. They made the choice to spend a month together, traveling through Europe and really trying to re-connect with each other.
